Mbuya Mary Simbi Library
The Mbuya Mary Simbi Library and Computer Lab (MMS Centre) was launched in Gutu in 2021 under the theme Opening New Worlds through Education. Established to help address the shortage of learning resources in rural schools, the Centre provides access to curriculum-aligned textbooks, reading materials and digital learning opportunities for more than 3,000 learners from eight surrounding schools. Building on its success, the Foundation is expanding the MMS Centre into a STEM-focused digital hub, providing students with access to computers, internet connectivity and technology-driven learning to help bridge the rural–urban education gap.
